Where to golf in Park City

Far from its native home in the Scottish Highlands, golf is alive and well in the Wasatch Mountains and the Uintas. The hills and valleys surrounding Park City are home to as many as 15 golf courses. Many of these are private country clubs and resorts. But Park City is home to two amazing public golf courses, with access to several more.

Courses have variable opening and closing dates, but tend to be available between May and October of each year. The summer weather is warm but not hot, significantly cooler than courses elsewhere in this desert state. That makes Park City an ideal place to take a few swings off your game or catch up on some important relationships while out on the green. Make sure to book your tee time early, these popular courses get pretty busy once the season gets into gear.

The Park City Golf Course transforms into a cross-country ski track during the winter. If you come back during ski season, make sure to drop by to experience the beautifully groomed course.

Park City Golf Course Description:

Park City’s beloved municipal golf course is a local treasure. It offers scenic views of the resort area and surrounding slopes, idyllic tree-lined fairways, and terrain that amiably ambles through the mountains. Water hazards come into play on every single hole. The course is an inviting challenge that demonstrates exquisite quality in both design and management. It is one of the finest municipal courses in the country. Cooler mountain temperatures make this an ideal choice for summer sessions-you won’t bake in the heat with an afternoon tee time.

Canyons Golf Description:

Opening in 2015, Canyons Golf is a relatively recent addition to the Park City golf scene. This young course is nestled in alongside the growing resort and attractions in the Canyons Village area, making for a buzzy and dynamic backdrop for your tee time. The most striking feature of the course is its remarkable elevation gain. Ranging over 550 vertical feet, you will be teeing off on a multi-tiered landscape rich in challenge and opportunity. Holes span all sorts of up-and-down fairway experiences that will keep you on top of your game.
