Pacific Beach Worth Visiting
Pacific Beach bars are at the heart of San Diego’s nightlife. Popular with students and surfers, the blocks nearest the beach are packed with plenty of bars ranging from high-end lounges to college dives. There is a bar in Pacific Beach for everyone. Let’s find your perfect watering hole.

Pacific Beach has a reputation as a youthful party town. Nowhere is that more true than at PB Shore Club. Whether you’re still taking classes or you graduated before the Backstreet Boys hit the radio, everything you love about your raucous college drinking days can be found right here.
Start with an awesome bar filled with high-energy patrons. Then add the perfect location just across the street from the beach. A recently added balcony gives you a scenic place to drink against a nightly backdrop of the setting sun.

Mavericks is where you go if you want it all. With five bars, both indoor and outdoor, scattered around multiple floors and an expansive patio, there’s somebody dispensing drinks just about anywhere you turn. It’s like a whole pub crawl all in one venue.
The entire venue covers 15,000 square feet, every one of them in a constant state of beach party. If you want to take a minute to slow down, you can always find a booth or a nook to stop, converse, or watch the game.

This is the only Pacific Beach bar on our list that you enter through a freezer in a poke shop. A real speakeasy is a novel find in 2022, and the to-the-hilt tiki aesthetic at The Grass Skirt really sells the experience. Less of a crowded dive and more of a relaxed island getaway, this local oddity offers a rum club and more than 150 varieties of rum. There are plenty of colorful tropical cocktails on the menu if you want to try something fun.

Speaking of novelty, Barrel Republic is a self-guided tour of San Diego’s robust craft beer scene. You get to pour as much of whatever kind of beer you want. No bartenders. Just you, your trusty glassware, and a wristband loaded with credits. High-tech taps communicate with your wristband to debit your account for exactly as much brew as you pour. Sample 40+ takes on local suds or have a few pints of your favorite. Grab a quiet room where you can have a more intimate chat with your friends or break out a friendly game of Skull between trips to the tap.

For a more sophisticated beachside beverage, try Waterbar. Tasteful decor, thoughtful design, beautiful ocean views, and a selection of outstanding seafood dishes make this a relaxing place to rally after a few rowdy rounds at other Pacific Beach bars. One whole side of the lounge is open to the beach, letting in a peaceful sea breeze and the soothing sounds of the surf. Try everything from a crab grilled cheese to salmon benedict when you aren’t busy staring at the horizon or sipping an elegant cocktail.
El Prez

If you see pictures of packed crowds on a rooftop party in Pacific Beach, odds are it was taken at El Prez. Popular for day drinking, sunset celebrations, and high-energy nightlife, El Prez partied so hard it was shut down indefinitely during the pandemic. They’re back, and just as unapologetic as ever. The downstairs bar areas are a little less energetic, but no less alcoholic. Pop down when you need some respite before bursting right back out into the heady Pacific Beach party atmosphere.
Moonshine Beach

COUNTRY DANCING TO LIVE MUSIC AT MOONSHINE BEACH // IMAGE CREDIT: MOONSHINE BEACH
With all the bikinis and board shorts on display in Pacific Beach, this is about the last place you would expect to see a rollicking country bar. But here it is, hot as Texas BBQ, filled to bursting with live music and line dancing. After you’ve downed a few beers and licked the last of the wing sauce off your fingers, take a minute to digest in the game area-featuring favorites like ping pong and cornhole-before hauling your boots over to the lively dance floor for a night of country western fun.
Duck Dive

San Diego, CA 92109
(858) 273-3825

A FANCY COCKTAIL FEATURING THE DUCK DIVE MARQUEE SIGN // IMAGE CREDIT: DUCK DIVE
Despite the name, Duck Dive isn’t really a dive at all. It’s a polished hangout that offers outstanding and unusual pub fare alongside its buckets of Modelo. Notable menu items include duck wings, tableside s’mores, and ahi poke. Duck Dive’s signature attraction is its amazing Taco Tuesday. Grab $3 tacos (including irresistible fish tacos) and $3 drinks after 9 PM. Beware, everyone else knows how amazing this deal is, and the bar will be packed!
Lahaina Beach House
710 Oliver Ct
San Diego, CA 92109
(858) 270-3888
A local-favorite boozy bungalow, this is as close as you can get to drinking on the beach without getting wet. A cozy deck opens right onto the sand. The squat building that houses the bar is a comforting low-budget landmark. The only advertisement Lahaina needs is the cheery sound of locals having fun. This Pacific Beach institution is a cash-only establishment that will keep you slapping down the bills until way after the sun goes down.
Silver Fox Lounge

Go old school! Silver Fox has been slinging shots for more than 40 years. It is a vintage local dive with quirky features like leopard-print carpet and a few pool tables that will help you feel right at home in a less rambunctious venue. It has all the appeal of your local small-town watering hole and all the drinks of a solid Pacific Beach bar. Hours go all the way to 6 AM, making this a perfect final destination on your pub crawl. Hopefully the jukebox won’t be too loud for your developing hangover.

Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return: An Interactive World Of Fantasy
Art is a huge part of Santa Fe, and when you walk into Meow Wolf, you feel the art in every fiber of your being. This immersive art experience is unlike any other in the world. In fact, it’s one of a kind. It’s like stepping into the set of a sophisticated film or coming face-to-face with the artist from another world.
What is Meow Wolf?
Meow Wolf isn’t just an art gallery or a collaborative art project-it’s an artistic collective.
Started in 2008 and initially bankrolled by none other than author George R.R. Martin, the group is a band of visionary young artists creating interactive art installations across the US. Their first permanent installation, The House of Eternal Return, is a legendary experience in the middle of the high desert.
What is the House of Eternal Return?
That’s a question with endless possible answers. It is a fever dream. It is a 360-degree installation. It is a story and a puzzle. It is a concert venue, an arcade, and a cafe. It is so much more.
In simple terms, The House of Eternal Return is a sprawling complex of immersive galleries intertwined in a complex narrative just waiting to be unraveled. You can just walk through it and enjoy the pretty sculptures and brilliant lights. Or you can dig deep and experience a mystery unlike any other.

The Story
On the surface, the House of Eternal Return is a former bowling alley packed with avant-garde sculptures and other oddities. But it is also a Victorian home trapped at the center of a multiversal anomaly. The House has become a crumbling gateway to a roiling network of alternate realities, surreal dimensions, and unbelievable vistas.
The house once belonged to the Selig family. One night, following a forbidden experiment within the walls of the home, the family disappeared and the house began to change. You’re invited to delve into their story. Find out what happened to the Seligs.
You’re invited to delve into their story. Find out what happened to the Seligs. Discover how their house became a gateway to other worlds. Make sure to look into every single nook and cranny. Each one has been thoughtfully filled with little enigmas for you to ponder.

The Exhibits
The House of Eternal Return serves as the center and hub of the experience. From there, you can wander into dozens of other installations ranging from self-contained nooks to major experiences.
The Selig home is a full-scale recreation of a Victorian house. Many aspects of the home seem perfectly normal at first glance. Look deeper. See the ripples and the melted chandelier above the table in the dining room. Open the fridge. Look at the homework. Poke around. There are secret passages, clues, and nods to other exhibits everywhere.

From here, you’ll be able to enter and contextualize the many other installations inside the Meow Wolf facility. Come back to the house between excursions. With each visit, your understanding will grow. Other hubs include:
Portals Bermuda
A sci-fi themed interdimensional travel agency, complete with a helpful AI assistant.
The Forest
The most visually-stunning centerpiece in the building. The wooded space is filled with quirky critters and fantastical foliage.
Art City
A mashup metropolis of miniature exhibits, standalone dioramas, and individually designed experiences.
The Caves
A candy-coated enclosure where you’ll be watched by sentient rainbow stalagmites as you play singing stones and drum on the bones of a neon mastodon.
Fancy Town
The concert and dance venue. Framed as a multiversal neighborhood, the neon-drenched facades of the surrounding buildings set the stage for unforgettable concerts.
Beam City
Experiment with light and darkness, sound and silence in this dim auditorium dominated by a laser harp.
Wiggy’s Plasma Plex
Enjoy classic arcade games with your new friends, the juviegangers. Join an apocalyptic cyberpunk gang between games of Street Fighter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Our Tips
- Put the camera away (at least on your first visit). Yes, you could point it anywhere in Meow Wolf’s The House of Eternal Routine and get an Insta-worthy photo. But if you spend your time trying to capture the experience with a phone, you miss the point.
- Look everywhere. There is no corner inside (or outside) this building that’s been forgotten. It is easy to be dazzled by a giant spider, a huge glowing tree, or a portal in a refrigerator. But if you don’t look deeper, you’ll miss the talking plant with story clues or the black and white 20s dining room.
- Come comfortably dressed. This is no stuffy gallery. You aren’t going to be ambling around with your chin in your hand, staring and saying “hmm.” You’re going to be crawling and sliding and climbing and straining.
- Wear comfy shoes and clothes that will let you move freely. Don’t bring any bags, though. They aren’t allowed. If you have to bring one, you can store it in a locker while you explore.
- Pick your time carefully. You have to choose your arrival slot. The experience will vary widely depending on when you stop by. If you show up during school hours on a Monday, you’re going to have a quiet and contemplative journey. Daytime on Saturday is going to be packed with kids-be prepared for a lot more noise and children running around. A Friday night might be wall-to-wall with an energetic party crowd. No one experience is better than another, but they are all different.
- Take your time inside. You can physically make it through the complex in half an hour. But four hours wouldn’t be enough time to see it all. Slow down, relax, and take it all in. If you get tuckered out and need to call it quits, try coming back for another run.
- Stay with us. You’re going to need somewhere to recuperate. Meow Wolf is an intense experience. It will take you days to unpack everything you saw and did. Fort Marcy Hotel Suites is the perfect place to catch your breath, unwind, and prepare for more fun. With condos ranging from one-bedroom retreats to three-bedroom homes, we have exactly what you need to make your stay as amazing as your time in The House of Eternal Return.

Thank you to TOURISM Santa Fe and our own group sales team for the wonderful photography!

What is Sesame Place?
Sesame Place San Diego is the second family-friendly Sesame Street-themed amusement park. The original park opened in Langhorne, Pennsylvania in 1980. It has been a signature family attraction near the Philadelphia area ever since. Millions of guests have enjoyed Sesame Place over the last 40 years. Sesame Place San Diego brings that same spirit of fun and discovery to kids of all ages on the West Coast.
Where is Sesame Place San Diego?
The new park sits on the site of the former SeaWorld Aquatica water park in Chula Vista. That park was in operation until earlier in 2021. SeaWorld partnered with Sesame Place to transform the now-defunct complex into a new experience for visitors of all ages. Some existing infrastructure has been incorporated into new attractions. Former guests might recognize bits of their old favorites once Sesame Place San Diego opens its doors.
From downtown San Diego, the park is about a half-hour drive. That includes neighborhoods like Pacific Beach and La Jolla. As the seagull flies, Sesame Place is about 10 minutes from the coast. Sesame Place San Diego sits just 15 minutes from the US/Mexico border.

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) is working closely with Sesame Place San Diego to conform to the same standards as the original Sesame Place. The Philadelphia facility was the world’s first designated Certified Autism Center amusement park.
Staff-wide autism sensitivity and awareness are part of the park’s formal training, right from day one. Full pre-visit resources, including a park-specific sensory guide, will be posted to the Sesame Place San Diego website. If all the excitement becomes just a little too stimulating, the park also includes designated quiet spaces with comfortable furnishings to help guests cool down.

Find out why Park City is so much more than just a ski destination with some exciting (and relaxing) Park City Canyons Village activities to try each summer, all located just steps from your door. From family fun to extra-special “me time,” this list of ideas has something for every occasion.
Summer Concert Series

One of Canyons Village’s most striking architectural features is its large outdoor amphitheater. That lovely venue is home to year-round outdoor performances and events.
Each summer, from the end of June to the end of August, the amphitheater plays host to the Park City Summer Concert Series. Bands from near and far, representing everything from full orchestras to bluegrass duos, perform for your listening pleasure-entirely free of charge.
Fill your summer nights with music without spending a dollar. Appropriate for guests of all ages, these Park City Canyons concerts are fun for the whole family. You can even make a picnic out of it!
Hiking and Biking

Park City is loaded with excellent trails that crisscross the mountains and snake through the valleys all around town. The Canyons Village area is no exception.
One of the most popular Canyons Village summer activities among locals and visitors alike is a refreshing hike or ride. You can jump onto Holly’s trail right from the base area, which ascends the slopes at a moderate grade for just over four miles before connecting to one of Park City’s best-known paths: the Mid-Mountain Trail.
If you feel adventurous, you can follow that all the way down to another of our favorites: Armstrong Trail. Those aren’t the only trails in the area, of course, so get out there and explore while the weather is perfect. For more of our favorites, check out our guide to the best hikes in Park City.
Disc Golf

Did you know that Utah was home to the inventor of the Frisbee? Utahns are big fans of flying discs of all flavors, from backyard games of catch to grueling Ultimate tournaments. But disc golf is the king of platter-flinging fun.
Canyons Village has an 18-hole course tucked into its rolling hills. A gondola ride takes you to the top of the course, and it’s game-on from there. This course features lots of elevation changes, plenty of plastic-hungry pine trees, and even some spots where water comes into play.
Overall, it is a fun but challenging course that everyone in your party will love to play. For a quicker game, try the 9-hole variant.
Explore Canyons Area Lodging

Disc golf isn’t the only golf on offer here. Canyons Golf is a full 18-hole, par-70 course that spans the Canyons Village area.
Tee off across terrain that serves as ski runs during the winter and experience a challenging, elevation-changing course with gorgeous mountain views. Some holes feature elevation changes of 300 feet, and the water features make for challenging, memorable shots.
Hole 18, in particular, has a nice island green. This course is a great place to enjoy our sunny summer weather and try a Canyons Village summer activity that is physically demanding without suiting up for a jog. Seriously, you’ll definitely work up a sweat if you skip the cart. There are hills everywhere out on the course.
Spa Day

Treat yourself to a day at the spa. There are several to choose from around Canyons Village. Westgate Park City even has one right on site-Serenity Spa. Your summer stay can’t all be excitement and adventure.
Sometimes you need to calm down, center yourself, and recover from your daring exploits. Refresh mind and body with a massage, a hot stone treatment, or something even more indulgent.
If you stay at Westgate Park City, you can pop on over to the yoga studio afterward for a nice calming stretch to continue your mindful self-care.

Swimming

The pool is the perfect place to spend a lazy summer afternoon. The sun is out, the temperature is soaring, and you need a place to cool down. Make sure your Canyons Village summer activities list includes a dip in the pool.
The area is home to plenty of relaxing pools. Some are indoors, some are outdoors, and some are both! Some of them even come with a view, like the third-floor plunge pool at Sundial Lodge.
Pull up your trunks or slip into that bikini and enjoy the quintessential summer experience of splashing around in the cool crystal waters of a nice pool.
To dry off, grab a seat on a lounger and work on your tan. Just remember to wear sunscreen! You want a nice, healthy bronze, not lobster red!

Cool Park City Summers
Some days, you just have to beat the heat. When the sun threatens to boil your brain, you need an escape. Fortunately, Park City is a perfect place to stay when you want a cool summer getaway. Try some of our favorite summer activities when you need to stay cool in Park City.
- Rafting and Tubing
- Fly Fishing
- Timpanogos Cave
- Shop Till You Drop
- Gallery Stroll
- Indoor Sports
- Jordanelle Reservoir
Rafting and Tubing

Rafting down the river is cool and exciting
Park City sits near two great rivers. Both Weber River and Provo River are frequent destinations for locals looking to cool off, especially during the peak of the season. Floating down the stream, taking in the beautiful scenery, catching glimpses of local fauna, and getting good and soaked is the perfect way to spend a toasty afternoon.
If you want a more organized, guided experience, a rafting experience is the perfect choice. Those looking for more self-directed fun and feel more comfortable in the water should try a tubing trip. Each river has a different character. The Weber River experience has plenty of class II rapids, while the Provo River is a more sedate waterway. We suggest tackling the water during the hottest parts of the day to keep from getting too cool. Both rivers are fed by runoff from the winter snow pack, and get mighty chilly.
For the budget-minded, tubing is the less expensive option, but families should stick to rafting for their watery adventure, as small bodies can’t tame the tubes as effectively. No matter how you decide to enjoy the river, make sure you’re wearing a life jacket at all times. It’s the law.
Fly Fishing

Out on the river catching fish and soaking up the beauty
Of course, sitting in the water isn’t the only thing the rivers around Park City offer. Park City is a great fishing destination. Fly fishing is a popular activity nearly year-round. While hanging around the river in winter will have you shivering in your waders, summer is a great time to cool off in the great outdoors. Get waist deep in the refreshing water and angle for some of the beautiful, large fish swimming up and down the canyons.
A bit of summer fishing is a great self-directed activity, but can also be enjoyed with any of the expert fishing guides operating out of Park City. Be advised that the Weber River is mostly private access, though many land owners have decided to opt into a walking access program that allows anglers to get to the water, you should still check to make sure that you are allowed to get to that prime fishing hole you have your heart set on. The Provo River is much easier to access, as most of it is public land.
Timpanogos Cave

A stalactite from the depths of Timp Cave
Getting wet while basking under the sun in one way to stay cool. But if the heat is just too much to take, there are more extreme solutions, like heading underground. The Timpanogos Cave is located just an hour from Park City, and makes a great vacation day trip. If the sun is getting under your skin, get under the Earth’s skin with this fascinating guided hike.
Marvel at the incredible processes that build intricate and beautiful caves, look at strange and unusual rock formations, and take a break from the summer sun at a much more manageable average of 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Getting to the cave requires a 1.5 mile hike up a fairly steep incline, so be prepared for that. Also, make life easier underground by bringing a light jacket and a small flashlight.
Shop Till You Drop

Shopping just off Main Street in Park City
Maybe you don’t want to escape the heat in nature. Maybe you want to chill out in the comfort of one of man’s greatest achievements: air conditioning. Then maybe Park City’s Historic Main Street is the choice for you.

The shops are a source of one-of-a-kind treasures and interesting relics in addition to your usual stock of t-shirts and mugs. Don’t forget to stop in for some original art from Park City’s premier talents at any of the galleries scattered throughout the downtown area.

This outlet mall packs some of the biggest brands in the country at the best prices you’ll find anywhere. You will find everything from Eddie Bauer to Bath & Body Works during your spending spree.

Indoor Sports

Woodward Park City boasts an impressive selection of indoor sport activities
Okay, you want to be indoors, but shopping and strolling isn’t your thing. Maybe a bit of indoor sport is in order. Park City happens to have an excellent indoor playground for all ages called Woodward Park City.
It might be easier to list all the things the Indoor Sports Hub doesn’t have. From the smallest athletes to the most seasoned daredevils, Woodward has something for everyone. Trampolines, parkour courses, tumbling surfaces, ramps and rails with airbags, a BMX pump track, and more await. Learn something new or show off your “A” game within a comfortably air-conditioned sports complex.
Stop by their Hive Cafeteria to stock up on all the calories you need to keep your body moving from sun up to sun down.
Best Hike for a Panoramic View: Silver Lake Trail

Panoramic vistas of Jordanelle Reservoir // source: KSL.com
Going back to the water, Jordanelle State Park is the perfect destination for the visitor who wants to stay cool while playing with big toys. Boating on Jordanelle is a ton of fun, whether you just want to hang out onboard, or zip around behind a speeding boat, dangling from a rope on your choice of ski, board, tube, or even parachute.
The reservoir isn’t limited to just boating, of course. There is plenty of camping to enjoy along the shore, and plenty of anglers dot the water’s edge, hoping for a nibble. Also, if you don’t have your own boat or other equipment to bring along, there are plenty of rental options for just about anything you’d like to enjoy.
Stay Cool All Night Long
No matter how much fun you’re having, you will have to sleep eventually. Pick one of our cool condos, relaxing townhomes, or comfortable vacation residences for a just-right night of rejuvenating sleep. Wake up refreshed and ready to try another cool summer activity every morning. There’s more to experience behind every corner and around every bend.

DADDYCAKES // IMAGE CREDIT: CRUSHED
The worst-kept secret in Pacific Beach, Crushed is the mimosa place. Flights of the best mimosas come out alongside dishes spanning American, Mexican, and Italian cuisine. Diners with a sweet tooth will love nothing more than the apple pie pancakes, while those with a savory disposition should dig into the uniquely filled “Daddycakes.”
There’s plenty of variety to explore as you come back time and time again!

San Diego has pretty amazing weather all year long. Take advantage of all the sunshine with an outdoor brunch under the boughs of local fig trees! Fig Tree Cafe’s unique menu includes some hits you won’t find anywhere else, like the breakfast sushi and the signature fig jam-stuffed french toast.
If you don’t want to try something as daring as a saffron breakfast paella, you can still grab a perfect breakfast burrito or an apple fritter to go with your coffee (for which they also have a variety of flavorings).
Kono’s Cafe
704 Garnet Ave
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 483-1699

OUTDOOR DINING // IMAGE CREDIT: KONO’S CAFE
There’s no better recommendation for Kono’s Cafe than the line that forms outside their door every single morning. Attracting that kind of crowd on a consistent basis is the mark of local greatness.
Within sight of the beach, this unassuming eatery is known primarily for two things-coffee and breakfast burritos. Grab one of each and prepare to enjoy the best meal you’ll have all day. Grab your spoils and head down to the sand for brunch right on the beach!
Truckstop
4150 Mission Blvd
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 274-8785

A FULL PLATE AND A COLD DRINK // IMAGE CREDIT: TRUCKSTOP
If you have a hankering for down-home country fare for brunch, it doesn’t get much better than this. Truckstop’s got all your Southern favorites, including chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and biscuits and gravy.
They’ll offer you as much or as little as you like, ranging from the aptly named Simple Breakfast to the enormous Mac Truck Challenge (the latter of which will net you a 50% discount if you can finish it within 20 minutes-no sharing).
Wash it all down with a great selection of craft beers for a stick-to-your-ribs brunch that will leave you happy and full all day!
Waterbar
4325 Ocean Blvd
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 888-4343

A FULL PLATE AND A COLD DRINK // IMAGE CREDIT: TRUCKSTOP
Waterbar is a fresh brunch choice with a focus on sustainably sourced seafood. The raw bar is definitely the brunch highlight, with a selection of uncooked masterpieces like poke and ceviche. Those aren’t your only options, though.
You’ll also find salmon benedict, fried calamari, and even a seafood bloody mary on the menu.
Breakfast Republic
4465 Mission Blvd
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 750-2107

BREAKFAST CLASSICS // IMAGE CREDIT: BREAKFAST REPUBLIC
Even though breakfast is right in the name, this is a killer brunch spot, too. Breakfast Republic is all about eggs-to the extent that there are chicken decals on everything and the floor is covered in egg-shaped chairs.
Omelets, Benedicts, scrambles, and just about every other preparation of egg you can name are done to perfection on a daily basis.
On the liquid side of the menu, you can stay healthy with a kombucha or indulge with a boozy “French Toast on the Rocks,” with plenty of other beverages in between. Be sure to try a specialty latte!
Woody’s Breakfast & Burgers
4111 Ocean Blvd
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 273-9663

A NOURISHING BREAKFAST BOWL // IMAGE CREDIT: WOODY’S BREAKFAST & BURGERS
For those who like to add a little burger to their brunch, this is the perfect stop. Woody’s offers unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean from their open-air shorefront patio! Of course, there’s more on offer at this quintessentially Californian joint.
The all-day smoothies and bowls offer something fruity, healthy, and cool for a warm summer day. The scrambles are the highlight of the breakfast side of the menu, with the Buddha Burger serving as the staple for the lunch end of the brunch spectrum.
The Mission
3795 Mission Blvd
Pacific Beach, CA 92109
(858) 273-9663

THE MISSION ROSEMARY // IMAGE CREDIT: THE MISSION
This home-grown favorite focuses on perfection plus presentation. A little whimsy and an attractive plate goes a long way toward creating a picture-perfect brunch, and you’ll find plenty of that here.
Baked banana caramel french toast and “Loco Moco” are just a couple of the imaginative dishes that you’ll find on the menu.
If we had to pick just one item to suggest to a first-timer, go with the Mission Rosemary breakfast platter.

Social Distancing
“Flattening the Curve” isn’t a trendy new weight loss slogan. During a pandemic, limiting exposure to other humans through voluntary isolation significantly slows the spread of disease and keeps illness from quickly overwhelming the capacity of medical systems around the globe.
Social distancing isn’t easy. But it is crucial to combat the spread of COVID-19. Do your part. Remain indoors and limit contact with others. Social distance can still be fun, despite the challenges. You can find tons of fun things to do indoors. Get inspired with our tips!

The Ultimate Staycation
Think of social distancing as the ultimate staycation. It’s just you, maybe your family or roommates, and whatever fun you can dig up around the house. Protect your social distancing mental health by turning weeks of time indoors into a luxurious staycation packed with fun. Try these tips for a Park City style mountain adventure.
Pamper Yourself at Home

Board Games From Afar
Is there anything more wholesome than gathering around the table in your vacation rental to play a game together after a long day of mountain adventure? We didn’t think so. But since you are confined to your home and may be separated from your favorite opponents, you’re going to have to take your analog gaming into digital space. Software like Tabletopia or Tabletop Simulator on Steam will let you play nearly any game under the sun from the comfort of your computer. If you don’t want to spend up to $20 per head for infinite board games, try sites like Board Game Arena, Boîte à Jeux, or Yucata each offer a selection of curated games, free of charge.
We have a few game suggestions to get you started.

Insta Worthy Selfies
“Pics or it didn’t happen” is a trusty internet adage. If you had an amazing vacation but you didn’t take any pictures, how can you prove that you were on vacation at all? Don’t slack on your selfie game just because you’re social distance staycationing. Dress up in your ski gear and strike a pose for a winter fashion show. Or, remind yourself of ski trips past by organizing, tagging, and reposting your favorite pics from previous winters.

Building a Snowman and Other Crafts
If you were in Park City, the kids would probably be building a snowman right about now. Since you’re on a social distancing staycation instead, it’s time to get crafty! Break out the cotton balls, white glue, and extra trimmings for some indoor snowmen. Or fold up some paper and get trimming for some snowflakes to put yourself in mind of the mountain snow. Whatever you have on hand, go nuts! Make something fun together.
Long-Distance Happy Hour
Bars are definitely out. You’ll just have to visit Park City’s nightlife hot spots another time. That doesn’t mean you have to drink alone, though. Arrange a group Skype call or FaceTime with your closest buddies and have an at-home happy hour that is heavy on both the social and the distance. Just don’t get caught in a crowd when you go back to the liquor store to replenish your supplies.
Shred the Slopes – Vicariously
Of all the things to do indoors to simulate your Park City vacation, skiing is the hardest to emulate at home. Get inspired for your next Park City vacation during your social distancing staycation by watching some great ski flicks. Watching classic ski movies like Hot Dog, Ski Patrol, Out Cold, Ski School, etc. can help fuel your passion for next season’s epic powder weekends and gorgeous bluebird days. A liberal application of cocoa and cookies will help sell the mood while you watch.

A Night in the Woods in Your Own Bedroom
Every day must end, whether you’re on vacation or stuck at home. At the end of your evening, recreate a mountain mood in your bedroom. Grab your Bluetooth speaker and put on some rustic white noise. Pick a roaring fire and crickets to accompany you to sleep, or maybe a rushing mountain stream. If it isn’t too cold, crack a window for some fresh night air. You can even string up some white Christmas lights to make yourself a field of stars. You’ll go to bed feeling refreshed and relaxed, and wake up ready to tackle another day of self-directed fun.
Cuddle Up by the Fire
An evening by the fire is a classic part of any Park City vacation. Looking out the window, enjoying the warmth of the flames, and taking in the mountain air awaken a sort of primal comfort that is hard to capture any other way. You can come close at home, regardless of the tools at your disposal. If you have a fireplace at home, you’re 90-percent there already. Grab your warmest blanket and snuggle to your heart’s content. If you don’t have a fireplace of your own, try putting on a yule log program on Netflix or YouTube, dim the lights, and make yourself some cocoa. Let the power of imagination do the rest.

Once this is all over, we can’t wait to see you in Park City for real. All Seasons Resort Lodging offers Park City vacation rentals for every occasion.
