Upscale surf n’ turf with a view, JRDN offers you Alaskan king crab or lamb blade steaks against the backdrop of the jaw-dropping sunset. Dine al fresco on the patio, separated from the boardwalk by a mere pane of glass.

Kono’s Cafe
- Hours: Daily 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Contact: 858-483-1669 | konoscafe.com
- Address: 704 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109
You’re living your best beach life. Nobody tells you when to eat breakfast! Kono’s serves up some of the best AM flavors in San Diego, and they do it all day. Even better, they do it without breaking the bank.
Get your coffee and breakfast burrito for a tenner and enjoy it out on Crystal Pier, which is right across the street. It isn’t all bacon and french toast, though. During lunch hours, Kono’s serves a mean mexiburger and BLT.

Pacific Beach Fish Shop

The TKO fish taco speaks for itself: seasoned, grilled Mahi Mahi on a bed of cabbage, cheeses, and tropical salsa, all wrapped in a fresh tortilla. If that doesn’t grab you, take a look at their 1-2-3 fish menu to craft a bespoke seafood feast or inhale an order of their addictive coconut shrimp.
Maybe you just want to chase some oysters with a quick beer-that’s cool, too. They have just about everything that can be pulled out of California’s glistening waters.

Iron Pig Alehouse
- Hours:
- Mon – Tue 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Wed – Thu 11:30 am – 9:00 pm
- Fri 11:30 am – 10:00 pm

- Address: 1520 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109
- Contact: 858-412-4299 | ironpigalehouse.com
They’re a long way from the barbecue pits of Texas, but the Iron Pig serves it up low and slow every day. You can take your pick of meat and cut, from chicken breast to pulled pork to sliced brisket to rib tips.
The sides are no slouch, either. The beans, in particular, get the same tender treatment as the meats. If you want to skip the carnivorous delights, try a dolled-up portobello instead.
Happy hour, whether week-day or late night, is a must for $5 favorites. Even four-legged patrons are invited, thanks to a pup-friendly menu.

Oscar’s Mexican Seafood
- Hours:
- Sun – Thu 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Fri – Sat 8:00 am – 9:00 pm
- Address: 746 Emerald St, San Diego, CA 92109
- Contact: 858-412-4009 | oscarsmexicanseafood.com
There are a couple of things you need to know about Oscar’s. First, you need to bring cash-no cards. Second, there will be a line. Third, the food is entirely worth the effort.
From the unassuming plastic cups full of ceviche to the taco especial with smoked fish, scallops, and shrimp, this is the best hole-in-the-wall spot in Pacific Beach. Bar none. There’s no room for pretense here, just damn fine seafood.

The Baked Bear
- Hours:
- Mon – Fri 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
- Sat – Sun 11:00 am – 12:00 am
- Address: 4516 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109
- Contact: thebakedbear.com
Okay, so it’s not a restaurant, per se. But every day on the boardwalk needs a good treat. And, if you’re going to treat, you may as well go big.
And it doesn’t get much bigger than these giant ice-cream sandwiches. Cooked up by San Diego natives, the Baked Bear serves a mix-and-match selection of freshly baked cookies stuck on either side of a slab of premium ice cream, drowned in your choice of toppings.
It’s simple, it’s decadent, and it’s just what your day on the beach needed (but your waistline probably didn’t).

Out back, it’s a fish-flinging seafood market supplying the good stuff to all corners of San Diego. On the front end, it’s a delicious restaurant.
This is the freshest seafood you can get in Pacific Beach. The market is just on the other side of the wall, after all. The atmosphere is laid back, casual, and fresh. Dishes are prepared with an expert hand reflected in the fine balance of flavors and the exceptional quality of the ingredients.

Even as we ease travel restrictions and open our doors for business, social distancing remains a top priority. For travelers seeking to maintain social distance, Park City is a great choice. We are an outdoor paradise with enough open space and blue sky to keep everyone at least 6 feet apart. Try these Park City social distancing tips for a safe, responsible stay.
Trails

The easiest way to stay socially distant in Park City is on our trails. We have literally hundreds of miles of trails to explore. Even on the most popular trails, you are only likely to pass a few individuals during your hike or ride. When you do encounter others, you will almost always be able to pass each other at a safe distance.
Dig into some of our more obscure trails to discover beautiful, isolated vistas. You can stay miles apart from others and enjoy Park City’s fresh mountain air. You might even see some of our local fauna!
Social Distance Tailgate Parties

Don’t forget the social part of social distancing in Park City. Large gatherings and close proximity aren’t permitted, but there are other ways to keep in touch. Grab a couple of friends, pack some snacks (don’t share them), and back your cars up about 10 feet away from each other. Hang out on your tailgates, swap stories, and keep up your sanity in the company of other humans. You get to indulge your social nature as a human being without the risk of exposure!
Mountain Biking

Biking offers all the beauty and exercise you’d get while hiking, but at a much higher speed! That isn’t the only difference, though. Mountain biking gives you the option of exploring much further, for one. You’ll see even fewer of your fellow men, for another.
Cover huge distances and take in sights you wouldn’t get to lay eyes on if you were traveling on foot. There’s also the fresh challenge of controlling your bike as it roars downhill, weaving through twists and corners.
Don’t worry about packing your own gear along. Some of Park City’s best bike rental shops offer home delivery. Get your equipment without stepping inside a shop.
Virtual Events

In this magical internet age, we can experience exciting events remotely. Park City is adapting to our new circumstances. You can stretch along with a Park City yogi, enjoy the reverence of a Park City Shabbat, or kick back and join a virtual film screening-all from the comfort of your own accommodations. For more information, make sure to check out this ongoing list of virtual events, available to native Parkites and visiting guests alike.
Private Hot Tubs

Pools and hot tubs are closed all over. It’s a total bummer. But, that isn’t true of private hot tubs! Book a suite or home with its own spa tub, and you can enjoy the bubble to your heart’s content. If you’re going to stay sequestered away, you might as well do so in style. Soak up the alpine relaxation in the comfort of your home away from home with zero worries. All Seasons Resort Lodging drains, sanitizes, and refills each private hot tub after every stay. That way, nobody is stewing in their predecessor’s COVID-19 broth.
Picnics

Dining in is still fraught with peril. While sitting down in a restaurant is currently off the menu, there are other options. Dine al fresco! Cook up a basket of your signature dishes or take a curbside delivery of gourmet delights. Then, head into nature for an unforgettable social distance Park City picnic. Bring the blankets and spread out a feast in the great outdoors. Enhance the experience with some portable tunes or an afternoon poetry reading. The Park City library has a virtual catalog for the socially distant bibliophile.

So you’re on your way to Park City. Awesome! Make sure you pack everything you need. Our Park City ski trip list contains everything you need for an amazing stay. You don’t want to have to interrupt your bluebird day for a shopping trip, so make sure to stock up on first ski trip essentials and helpful extras.
The Gear
Ski trips require specialized gear. Most of it is large and expensive. If this is your first ski trip, you will probably want to rent most of the items below. You’ll still need everything on the list-but you’ll grab them after you arrive.

The Clothing
Your ski trip wardrobe is like an onion (or an ogre). It has layers. No one garment can protect you in the winter weather. You’ll want to have a robust set of flexible clothes that you can put on or take off as required. Shoot for three layers as a solid base. You may strip down to two or pile on a fourth, as need be.

Park City Mountain Lodging
Drawing visitors from all over the world, skiing at Park City Mountain is the crown jewel of the Park City experience.

Toiletries
You’re going to want to bring your standard kit, as a minimum. No one wants to ski while dirty, stinky, and unshaven. So pack your soap, toothbrush, deodorant, and razors. But a day on the slopes also demands a couple of extra products that you’ll want to stuff into the pockets of your ski jacket. Don’t pass on these crucial toiletries.

Other Stuff
Most of the items on this list are optional. You won’t die without them, but they may make your life easier. Think of these as your list of “vacation hacks”. When space and weight limits start to get tight, these might be a good place to start making cuts. Until then, stock up for comfort and convenience.
Most importantly, you’re going to want somewhere to put all this stuff (and yourself). Make sure to book the best lodging in town. Reserve your perfect accommodations with All Seasons Resort Lodging. Our selection of condos, townhomes, and vacation rentals is second to none. And you’ll always get the lowest rate available. We guarantee it!

Deer Valley Ski Resort, Park City, Utah: An Overview
Park City Spring Break
The thrill of witnessing wildlife in their natural setting is hard to beat. Unlike the faster-paced outdoor recreations that entice travelers to Utah, catching a glimpse of wild animals requires patience for the opportune moment and, in some cases, a smidge of luck!
Fortunately, the state of Utah is home to more than 600 species of mammals, fishes, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. We are highlighting the top 7 spectacular species that call Park City and the surrounding Wasatch Mountains home.
Moose
Awe-inspiring and iconic, a moose sighting can be the icing on the cake of any Park City vacation. While moose are beloved, these half-ton ungulates* are formidable and can cause severe damage. It is advised to keep your distance, especially when encountering a moose and its calf. Ask any Parkite, and they can probably give you a story about a personal moose encounter, many times in unorthodox places!
UN·GU·LATE
/ˈəNGɡyələt,ˈəNGɡyəˌlāt/
noun
- a hoofed mammal.
Best viewing is year-round!
It is possible to spot a moose year-round in Park City. However, the chance increases in the winter when the cold temperatures and scarcity of food force moose down the mountain into the valleys. Remember to take extra precautions. You could likely come across a moose on Main Street!

Mountain Lion
Mountain lions roam all corners of Utah, but you will be hard-pressed to see one in the wild. Highly elusive, these big cats are solitary animals who primarily hunt on mule deer during the hours of dusk and dawn. When exploring the outdoors, be sure to keep an eye on cliffs and ledges, as they use these natural features as cover.
Best viewing is unknown.
Your chances of coming across Utahs’ apex predator are slim. Many seasoned outdoorsmen and women go years and never cross paths with a Mountain lion. However, if you do, it is essential to remember to never turn your back to the cat, look them in the eye and try to make yourself larger. These tactics establish to the Mountain Lion that you are not prey. However, if you come across a mother mountain lion and her cubs like this Utah hiker it’s best to immediately cease pursuing the animals.

Elk
Nominated as Utah’s State mammal in 1971, the Rocky Mountain Elk is prevalent throughout Park City’s many trails and open spaces. Larger than a mule deer yet smaller and more agile than a moose, once could consider the elk at the goldilocks of ungulates that inhabit Utah. They are distinguished by their tawny body, dark brown head and neck, and a cream-colored rump and are found in herds of 200 plus!
Best viewing in Fall!
The annual rut* occurs in September when the herds migrate from the higher mountain altitudes and mate in the valleys before the start of winter. It’s not uncommon to spot elk off Old Ranch Road or even on the Park City golf course! Head out to Round Valley to catch a picturesque sunset and maybe a glimpse of an elk herd against the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains.
RUT
noun
noun: rut; plural noun: ruts
- an annual period of sexual activity in deer and some other mammals, during which the males fight each other for access to the females

Black Bear
Nominated as Utah’s State mammal in 1971, the Rocky Mountain Elk is prevalent throughout Park City’s many trails and open spaces. Larger than a mule deer yet smaller and more agile than a moose, once could consider the elk at the goldilocks of ungulates that inhabit Utah. They are distinguished by their tawny body, dark brown head and neck, and a cream-colored rump and are found in herds of 200 plus!

It’s not uncommon to spot elk off Old Ranch Road or even on the Park City golf course! Head out to Round Valley to catch a picturesque sunset and maybe a glimpse of an elk herd against the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains.

Mountain Goat
Park City is over a mile in the sky, yet you won’t find these majestic goats wandering the trails or valleys. To see a mountain goat, you need to head to the tallest peaks in the Unita or Wasatch ranges. The goats have adapted to living in such inhospitable environments as a way to protect themselves from predators like mountain lions. One of their miraculous adaptations is their small, cup-like hooves which provide traction on rocky cliffs.
Best viewing in spring!
The best way to see a mountain goat is to lace up your hiking boots and conquer a summit. Not far from Park City, Mount Timpanogos is a brutal, 15-mile hike that offers the incredible opportunity to share the views with the mountain goats that call the summit home.

Yellow-bellied Marmot
Those funny-looking gophers are actually marmots! Yellow-bellied marmots spend a good deal of their time below ground where they dig elaborate tunnels in high elevation fields and mountainsides. Marmots live in groups of 20, and much like the meerkats in Africa, one stands guard on its hind legs when the colony feeds. They emit loud chirping noises to signal danger. On a hike, you will likely hear the call before spotting a marmot staring up at you from their burrow.
Best viewing in summer, spring!
Just like Bears, Marmots spend the winter months hibernating underground. Once the snow melts, you are sure to see them popping in and out of their underground burrows, keeping tabs on the world above and below.

Sandhill Crane
Bird lovers rejoice! The elegant and ancient sandhill crane makes a stop in Utah on their annual pilgrimage south. This beloved bird is characterized by their six-foot wingspan and naked red skin at the top of their heads. However, Sandhill Cranes are perhaps better recognized by their rattling mating call that echos across the open flatlands they frequent.
Best viewing in spring!
Many locals consider the sandhill cranes’s annual arrive in Park City as the marker of the spring season. The elegant birds perform the mesmerizing dance that makes them famous for photographing in open meadows and wetlands. The Swaner Preserve is an excellent place to view them in flight!

Tips for safely viewing wildlife
- Give wild animals their distance! Bring a pair of binoculars with you to keep a safe and respectful distance between yourself and the wild animal.
- Do not touch wildlife. You may be tempted, but interfering with wild animals by approaching, feeding, or touching is never a good idea.
- Plan ahead. Being alert and dawn and dusk increases your chance of seeing wildlife when they are most active.

Park City Spring Break
Utah Olympic Park isn’t just a winter wonderland. There is plenty to do at the park year round. Every corner of this sprawling campus is filled with fun and excitement for the warm-weather visitor.
Get a taste of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games during your trip to Park City. The best Park City Utah Olympics activities live on at Utah Olympic Park. Up on the mountainside above Kimball Junction, this reminder of the 2002 Games carries on the Olympic spirit right here in our own backyard.
There’s enough going on at Utah Olympic Park to keep you busy for days. Try our list of the top Utah Olympic Park Activities to get the most out of your stay.
Summer Tubing
The first thing visitors will notice about Utah Olympic Park are the massive ramps stretching down the mountain above Kimball Junction. Those ramps were the battlegrounds for the Nordic ski jump competition and related events. They are still used as a practice venue for top jumpers from around the globe. During the summer, however, they get a new lease on life as an extreme tubing course. When water is passed over the innovative surface of the jump, it functions like the world’s most exciting water slide. Utah Olympic Park tubing is an extreme high-speed sliding experience for true thrill seekers. You won’t want to miss this one.

Freestyle Shows
If you’d prefer to watch, rather than experience, the high-flying thrills of freestyle ski jumping, you should catch one of Utah Olympic Park’s Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle shows. Top athletes roar down ramps that terminate in a freestyle pool at the base of the park. Watch them flip, twist, and leap in an exciting display of aerial prowess. Observers closest to the splashdown might even get a little wet. Shows run throughout the summer, but only on weekends.

Zip Lines
If you want the same sense of weightless freedom as a Nordic jumper without learning a demanding ski discipline, try the Utah Olympic Park zip lines instead. Fly down the mountainside, feet dangling in the breeze, over the heads of your fellow men. Scoff at gravity-if only for a few hundred yards-and feel what it’s like to be a daring ski jumper. Side-by-side rides are available, in case you need a little emotional support to take the plunge.

Scenic Chairlift Rides
Dialing down the thrills, the scenic chairlift gives visitors a chance to relax and take in the view while going for a pleasant trip up the mountain. Choose from the larger Nordic chairlift, or the shorter Freestyle chairlift. Just because there isn’t a pool at the bottom doesn’t mean there isn’t a good time to be had gliding up and down the slope.

Ropes Courses
Utah Olympic Park also offers some high-altitude thrills that are a little slower than a bobsled. The Utah Olympic Park Discovery Course represents several ropes courses designed to test visitors’ courage, balance, and coordination. Explore these unique physical challenges and get a refreshing workout in the free mountain air above Park City. You’ll walk tightropes, scale nets, grasp at swinging lines, and more as you work your way from one end to the other. Summer and winter variants are available, depending on the timing of your visit.
Not everyone is big enough to experience the Discovery Course. Pint-sized adventurers are more at home in Utah Olympic Park’s Discovery Zone. Think of it like the miniature version of the full-size ropes course. There are still monkey bars, rope bridges, and balance lines, but they’re all a lot closer to the ground. Little tumblers might land in the soft bark below, but they won’t be dangling from a line several dozen feet above the earth. This little obstacle zone is free to enjoy.

Summer Comet Bobsled
This epic, winding concrete tube played host to the bobsled, skeleton, and luge events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Some of the best athletes in the world competed on this track. Now you can enjoy the same 60-mph thrills as those elite drivers. Winter or summer, the Utah Olympic Park bobsled takes novice riders on a thrilling downhill race. During the winter, you’ll rocket down the ice in the traditional fashion. Warm-weather riders can still give the bobsled a shot thanks to a wheeled retrofit.

Alpine Coaster
If the bobsled is just a tad too extreme, there is always the alpine coaster. Similar to the bobsled, the alpine coaster utilizes gravity to provide a twisting thrill ride down the mountain on a track. Unlike the bobsled, however, you don’t require a professional pilot to enjoy the alpine coaster. Just strap in to your seat and hang on for dear life as you swiftly tear around the turns and switchbacks along the way, enjoying the view of Park City the whole time.

Museums
Guests are invited to explore two museums on site, free of charge. The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum commemorates the Park City Utah Olympic activities that took place both at this complex and elsewhere around town. Uncover the story of the Games with a series of exhibits, activities, and displays that both inform and entertain. For a broader history of Park City’s winter sports, make sure to check out the Alf Engen Ski Museum. It explores the history of skiing in the Intermountain West, including Park City’s transition from mining outpost to resort town.

Hiking and Biking Trails
In addition to all the fun, games, activities, and sports on display, Utah Olympic Park has one last trick up its sleeve-it is connected to Park City’s massive trail system. There are some lovely views to enjoy from the paths surrounding the park. Make sure to take a stroll to finish out your day at Utah Olympic Park. Where else can you get a bird’s eye view of a bobsled course? Trails aren’t just for walking, either. Mountain biking presents a whole new set of challenges-and rewards.

Deer Valley Ski Resort, Park City, Utah: An Overview
Park City Spring Break
You want your Park City Utah vacation rentals ski in ski out. You don’t want to have to change out of your ski boots once you check in. You’re here to ski, and you don’t want to waste even a single second walking or driving to the ski hill.
The Lodge at the Mountain Village
If you look up “ski lodge” in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of The Lodge at the Mountain Village. This is a classic example of the quintessential lodge. It has everything. Literally at the heart of the resort? Check. Sweet vintage style? Check. Indoor/Outdoor pool? Check. Multiple hot tubs at the property? Check.
One of the best things about The Lodge at the Mountain Village is the sheer variety of accommodations. You can book a 1-bedroom condo for an impromptu day on the slopes. But you can also book a lavish 4-bedroom retreat for a once-in-a-lifetime ski trip with the entire family. There is something for nearly every budget or occasion tucked away in this storied pillar of the Park City Mountain experience.
One important fringe benefit is guaranteed parking under the building. Finding parking at the resort is a massive pain during ski season. You can just point and laugh at everybody circling the resort lots on your way to your reserved underground spot.
Experience a classic ski-in/ski-out lodge with 1- to 4-bedroom condominiums next to the chairlifts at Park City Mountain.
Village Loft
Part of the same ski village complex as The Lodge at the Mountain Village, Village Loft represents a more intimate take on the same concept. Instead of grand ski resort trappings, Village Loft opts for private, full-featured condos that are somehow even closer to the snow. If you jumped out the window (please don’t), you’d land on the base.
Aside from proximity to the slopes, the highlight here is definitely the full-condominium nature of each unit. Each one is a condo with the best location in Park City. You aren’t reliant on restaurants here thanks to the full kitchen in each home. And what could be more perfectly Park City than retiring beside a warm fire in your private fireplace each evening?
Once again, the guaranteed resort parking is a huge plus. Village Loft shares a garage with The Lodge at the Mountain Village
Ski-in/ski-out accommodations at the heart of Park City Mountain Resort, offering 1- to 3-bedroom condominiums within feet of the lifts.
Westgate Park City
If ever a property could be said to have it all, it is Westgate Park City. Best-in-state luxury pairs well with a dizzying array of on-site extras at Canyons Village. For starters, Westgate Park City is home to three different pool and hot tub areas. One of them is even reserved just for adults. Escape the kids (and everyone else’s kids) and enjoy some grown-up relaxation for a change.
Relaxation doesn’t end there, however. Look to the on-site spa, yoga studio, large fitness center, sauna, and steam room to complete your pampering. Then indulge at the on-site lounge, restaurant, or state liquor agency.
Rooms are no less extravagant. Warm decor and pillowy mattresses are enhanced with in-room extras like jetted tubs and gas fireplaces. Studio units pack surprising utility into a cozy package while larger condos spoil you with plenty of room to stretch your legs.
Westgate Park City is the finest in ski-in/ski-out luxury lodging around Canyons Village. Ranging from studio suites to 1- and 2- bedroom condominiums, these unparalleled accommodations are sure to please.
The Caledonian
The Caledonian represents a different kind of perfection. It has perfect access-to everything. There aren’t a lot of ski in ski out properties on Main Street. In fact, it’s pretty much just The Caledonian. You can walk out the front door and explore the heart of Park City’s historic downtown area. Or you can ski out onto the Town Lift and start skiing at Park City Mountain.
Or, you could do neither and opt to spend your days soaking in a private hot tub literally over Main Street. Look down on the hustle and bustle from your steamy throne on high, soaking in the atmosphere while you soak up the warmth.
Once you come back to your condo, you’ll find a private haven, unaffected by the light and noise outside. Peaceful luxury surrounds you on every side. Rooms are beautiful oases, complete with jetted tubs and/or extravagant showers. The full kitchen in your suite unshackles you from restaurant dining, free to pursue your culinary dreams in your own home away from home. Living rooms are just as dreamy, with plush sofas, large TVs, and gas fireplaces.
Upscale luxury on Main Street, Park City. Outstanding 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom condominiums with ski-in/ski-out access to Park City Mountain Resort.
These are our top picks for Park City Utah vacation rentals with ski in ski out access. But they aren’t the only amazing accommodations in town. When it comes to dining in Santa Fe, the word on everyone’s lips is always Sazón-and for good reason. This is a true culinary experience that will leave you hooked after the first bite. For a guided revelation in Southwest cuisine, attend a Chef Degustación that will leave you breathless and satisfied.

2. Sassella
A relatively new addition to the Santa Fe dining scene bringing refined Italian classics to the table-each prepared with an eye toward gustatory artistry.
