That’s Park City Dine About — and if you haven’t planned a May trip around it yet, this guide will change that.

We’ve been managing vacation rentals in Park City for 26 years, and we’ll be honest with you: May is one of our favorite times to be here. The town exhales after a long ski season. Trails start opening. Patios fill up. And this year, the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) launched Dine About, bringing the beloved shoulder-season dining tradition into May. The result is an entire month of prix-fixe deals at the restaurants you’ve been wanting to try all season — with discounted prices and a mountain town that feels like it belongs to you.

This guide covers everything you need to plan your Dine About experience: how it works, which restaurants to prioritize, how to organize your visit by neighborhood, and where to stay to make the most of the whole month.

🍽️ What Is Park City Dine About?

Park City Dine About is a month-long prix-fixe dining promotion organized each year by the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA). Traditionally held in October, the event has grown steadily since its first edition — the 2025 fall run drew 33 participating restaurants across all price points and dining styles. In 2026, PCARA made the leap into spring, launching the first-ever May edition with more than 30 restaurants on board.

The idea is straightforward: participating restaurants offer specially priced fixed menus throughout the month — two-course lunches, three-course dinners, and $20 après specials. It’s a chance for diners to explore new restaurants, revisit favorites, and do it all at prices well below what these same kitchens charge during peak season.

“There’s a lot of great diversity,” PCARA Executive Director Ginger Wicks said at the event’s launch. “It’s a great time to get out and take advantage of maybe some locations that you didn’t get to enjoy over the winter or haven’t tried before.”

For the full list of participating restaurants and individual menus, visit parkcityrestaurants.com/dine-about/spring. Reservation links for each restaurant are listed there directly.

⚙️ How Does Park City Dine About Work?

If you’ve never participated in a prix-fixe dining event before, here’s the simple breakdown. Each restaurant creates a special fixed menu — separate from their regular offerings — at a predetermined price. You choose from what’s on that Dine About menu, not the full à la carte menu. Think of it as a curated tasting experience at a set price, rather than your usual dinner order.

The three formats available across participating restaurants:

Format Price Points What You Get
🥗 2-Course Lunch $15, $20, or $25 Starter + Entrée; ideal for a midday meal before afternoon activities
🍷 3-Course Dinner $30, $45, or $65 Starter + Entrée + Dessert; the signature Dine About experience
🍸 Après Special $20 Signature cocktail + small plate; perfect for a late-afternoon stop

A few practical notes that most sources skip:

  • Reservations are strongly recommended — even in shoulder season, popular spots like Handle and Grappa fill up. Book directly through each restaurant using the links at parkcityrestaurants.com.
  • Pricing is per person, not per table.
  • Dine About menus cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
  • Check individual dates — most restaurants participate for the full month of May, but some have shorter windows. Confirm before you plan your night out.
  • Fresh, seasonal menus — restaurants use Dine About as an opportunity to showcase new spring menu items, so you’re often getting dishes that aren’t on the regular menu at all.

🌿 Why May Is Park City’s Best-Kept Secret

Here’s the thing most people don’t realize about Park City in May: it’s one of the best times of year to be here, and almost nobody knows it.

Ski season has ended and summer hasn’t fully begun. The town quiets down in a way that feels earned — like Park City itself is taking a breath. Restaurants that were packed wall-to-wall in January now have open tables. The mountain air has turned warm and clear. And the trails are beginning to wake up after a long winter, with hiking in Park City ramping up just as Dine About kicks off.

Shoulder season also means meaningfully lower vacation rental rates. You’re getting the same mountain town, the same restaurants, the same views — at a fraction of the January price tag. Pair that with Dine About’s prix-fixe deals, and a three-course dinner at one of Park City’s finest restaurants suddenly costs less than a casual lunch during President’s week.

And if you love dining outdoors, May timing couldn’t be better. Patios are opening across town just as Dine About begins, making this the perfect month to sit outside, watch the last snow melt off the peaks, and work your way through a $45 three-course dinner that would have run $120 in February. Our outdoor dining in Park City guide covers the best patios in town.

The combination of value, quiet, and a fully alive dining scene is what makes May special. Dine About just makes it unmissable.

Thirty-plus restaurants is a lot of choices. We’ve organized the field into four categories to help you build your month’s dining plan. For the complete list, individual menus, and reservation links, head to the official PCARA Dine About page.

🥂 Best for a Special Dinner ($65 Three-Course)

These are the restaurants worth saving for a proper evening out. The $65 three-course format is where Park City’s culinary reputation truly earns its keep — and where the Dine About value is most dramatic compared to normal menu pricing.

Grappa

A Park City institution. Grappa’s Italian fine dining on Historic Main Street has been a benchmark of the local restaurant scene for years, and Dine About is a rare opportunity to experience their kitchen at an accessible price point. Three courses, full-service, Main Street ambiance.

  • Historic Main Street location
  • Italian fine dining
  • $65 Three-Course Dinner

Handle

Seasonally driven, locally sourced, and consistently one of Park City’s most celebrated kitchens. Handle’s Dine About menu reflects the same philosophy as their regular offering — fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, a menu built around what’s actually good right now. Available in both the $65 dinner and $20 après formats.

  • Locally sourced, seasonal menu
  • $65 Three-Course Dinner or $20 Après
  • Main Street area

The Nelson Cottage by High West

A first-time Dine About participant — and one of the most compelling additions to the spring lineup. High West’s intimate prix-fixe concept on Park Avenue normally runs six courses with whiskey pairings. Dine About brings it down to a more accessible format, which head of hospitality Steve Walton calls “a perfect way for guests to discover what makes the Nelson Cottage such a special experience.”

  • First-ever Dine About participation
  • High West Distillery hospitality team
  • $65 Three-Course Dinner

Historic Main Street setting with refined American cuisine. Purple Sage brings a genuine sense of place to every meal, and their Dine About menu is a natural showcase for a kitchen that knows its territory well.

🥗 Best for a Casual Lunch ($15–$25 Two-Course)

The two-course lunch format is where Dine About shines for daytime visitors — a proper sit-down meal before an afternoon hike or bike ride, at a price that leaves room in the budget for dinner.

Hearth and Hill

A Kimball Junction favorite built on locally sourced comfort food and a warm, neighborhood-restaurant feel. The $20 two-course lunch here is one of the most satisfying value propositions in the entire Dine About lineup — familiar, well-executed, and genuinely good.

  • Kimball Junction location
  • Locally sourced comfort food
  • $20 Two-Course Lunch

Deer Valley Café

Lakeside in the Deer Valley Plaza Building, with a deck that overlooks Jordanelle and the surrounding peaks. A $20 two-course lunch here is one of the best views-per-dollar propositions in Park City. The café is known for its gourmet deli-style dishes and a kitchen that takes care with ingredients.

  • Deer Valley Plaza, mountain views
  • Gourmet deli-style cuisine
  • $20 Two-Course Lunch

Red Rock Brewing

Utah craft beer culture meets mountain comfort food at a $15 entry point that makes this one of the most accessible Dine About options on the list. Red Rock’s two-course lunch is ideal for groups with varied palates — something for everyone, no dress code required.

  • Utah craft beer on tap
  • $15 Two-Course Lunch
  • Great for groups

Le Depot Brasserie

French-inspired cuisine in a Park City setting — a little more polished than the typical lunch stop, and all the better for it. The $25 two-course format here feels like a proper meal, not a quick bite. Walkable from Main Street.

🍸 Best for Après (The $20 Cocktail + Bites Specials)

The après category is where Dine About gets genuinely fun. A $20 cocktail-and-small-plate pairing is the perfect bridge between afternoon and evening — especially in May, when the daylight stretches long and there’s no real rush to be anywhere.

Old Town Cellars

A first-time Dine About participant, joining in the après category with a wine-and-snack pairing that highlights local purveyors. Think cheese from Gold Creek Farms and chocolate from HoneyB Cakes & Pastries alongside a glass from their curated wine list. “Just one more reason to come see us during what is typically a slow month,” says event sales manager Xania Woodman.

  • Gold Creek Farms cheese + HoneyB pastries
  • $20 Après Special

Alpine Distilling Social Aid & Pleasure Club

Park City’s craft spirits anchor, housed in a relaxed and social atmosphere that makes après feel effortless. Alpine Distilling’s après special is the kind of stop you plan for an hour and stay for three. One of the most consistent crowd-pleasers in the Dine About lineup every year.

  • Park City craft spirits
  • Relaxed, social atmosphere
  • $20 Après Special

🍴 Best Mid-Range Dinner ($45 Three-Course)

The $45 three-course format hits a sweet spot: a full, proper dinner without the full fine-dining price commitment. These restaurants offer some of the best Dine About value in the lineup.

LOMA

Elevated mountain fare in a relaxed atmosphere — the kind of restaurant that hits its stride during shoulder season when the dining room slows down and the kitchen gets to breathe. LOMA’s $45 three-course menu is one of the sharpest value plays in the spring Dine About.

  • Relaxed atmosphere
  • $45 Three-Course Dinner

Matilda Park City

🗺️ Dine About by Neighborhood: Where to Eat (and Where to Stay)

Dine About restaurants are spread across Park City’s distinct neighborhoods — which matters both for planning your nights out and for choosing where to base your stay. Here’s how the map breaks down.

🏛️ Historic Main Street

The highest concentration of Dine About restaurants in the entire lineup. Grappa, Handle, Purple Sage, Old Town Cellars, Le Depot Brasserie, Café Terigo, and Cena Ristorante are all within walking distance of each other along or just off Main Street. If you’re prioritizing dinner, this is where to be.

Staying on or near Main Street makes Dine About genuinely walkable — no driving, no parking, no post-dinner logistics. Just step outside and you’re already there. Our Downtown Park City rentals include two properties that put the entire Dine About dining corridor at your doorstep:

Town Lift Condos

On Main Street at the Town Lift, these condos offer the same walkable access to the Dine About dining corridor with the added convenience of ski lift access steps from the door.

  • Steps from Town Lift ski lift
  • Walk to Dine About restaurants

🏔️ Deer Valley

The Deer Valley area brings a different character to Dine About — more elevated, quieter, with mountain views built into the dining experience. The 7880 Club at Stein Eriksen Residences, Troll Hallen Lounge at Stein Eriksen Lodge, and Deer Valley Café are all Deer Valley participants, and Powder Restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Park City rounds out the area with a $25 two-course lunch worth seeking out.

Staying near Deer Valley means easy access to these restaurants alongside everything else the area offers in May — spring hiking, the reservoir, and some of Park City’s most scenic morning drives. Our Deer Valley rental properties are the right base for this corner of the Dine About map.

🏘️ Canyons Village & Kimball Junction

The west side of Park City brings a more relaxed character to Dine About. Hearth and Hill in Kimball Junction is one of the standout lunch venues in the entire lineup. Timbers Bar & Restaurant serves the Canyons Village area. And Squatters Roadhouse Grill offers the most affordable entry point on the list at $15 for a two-course lunch.

Newpark Resort

🤔 Is Park City Dine About Worth It? (An Honest Take)

Let’s put the value in real terms. A dinner for two at Handle — one of Park City’s best restaurants — runs $80–$120 on a typical night, before drinks. The Dine About three-course menu brings that to $130 for two, with more courses. At Grappa, a comparable dinner normally starts at $100 per person. During Dine About, you’re looking at $65 for three full courses.

For visitors in May specifically, that math gets even better. Vacation rental rates are at or near their annual low. Restaurants that were turning tables every 90 minutes in January now have room to breathe — and so do you. You get better service, a less-rushed experience, and the chance to actually talk to the people next to you.

Who is Dine About best for? First-time visitors who want to try Park City’s best restaurants without a full fine-dining price commitment. Returning guests who know the scene and want to explore new kitchens. Anyone who appreciates the combination of quality and value that a shoulder-season trip offers.

Who might prefer the regular menu? Diners who want complete freedom to order off the full à la carte selection, or regulars at a specific restaurant who have a go-to dish that isn’t on the Dine About menu. These are valid reasons to skip the prix-fixe format — but for most visitors, Dine About delivers exactly what it promises.

The honest bottom line: if you’re planning a May trip to Park City, Dine About is one of the best reasons to be here. It’s also a genuinely good reason to plan a trip you weren’t already planning.

💡 Tips for Getting the Most Out of Dine About

  • Make reservations early — Dine About generates more buzz than you’d expect for a shoulder-season event. Handle, Grappa, and The Nelson Cottage book up. Don’t leave reservations to the last minute.
  • Mix and match formats across the month — do a $20 lunch one day, save the $65 dinner for a special evening, and use the après specials for casual afternoons. The month gives you flexibility; use it.
  • Use the après special strategically — it’s a natural fit after a morning hike or afternoon on the trails, and $20 for a craft cocktail and a small plate is hard to beat anywhere in Park City.
  • Check individual restaurant date windows — most participants run the full month, but a few have shorter participation periods. Confirm before you finalize your plans.
  • Pair Dine About with the full May experience — mornings on the trails, afternoons at the reservoir, evenings at Dine About restaurants. Our 7 Best Hikes in Park City is a good starting point for the daytime half of your trip.
  • Check for dietary options — several participating restaurants accommodate vegan and plant-based diners. Our Park City vegan restaurant guide covers the broader landscape.
  • New to Park City dining entirely? Our guide to dining in Park City the right way covers the full scene — useful context for building your Dine About shortlist.

❓ Park City Dine About — Frequently Asked Questions

When is Park City Dine About 2026?

The spring 2026 edition of Dine About Park City runs May 1 through May 31, 2026. This is the first-ever spring edition — the event has traditionally been held in October. Individual restaurant participation windows may vary; check each restaurant’s listing at parkcityrestaurants.com for specific dates.

How many restaurants participate in Park City Dine About?

More than 30 restaurants are participating in the spring 2026 edition, ranging from fine dining destinations to casual neighborhood favorites. The full lineup spans Historic Main Street, Deer Valley, Canyons Village, Kimball Junction, and other areas of Park City.

Do I need reservations for Park City Dine About?

Yes — reservations are strongly recommended, even during the shoulder season. Popular restaurants like Handle and Grappa fill their Dine About slots quickly. Reservations are made directly through each restaurant using the links at parkcityrestaurants.com/dine-about/spring.

What are the Dine About menu prices?

Dine About menus are priced per person: 2-course lunches at $15, $20, or $25; 3-course dinners at $30, $45, or $65; and $20 après specials pairing a signature cocktail with a small plate. Each restaurant sets its own price tier within those ranges.

Is Park City Dine About only for locals?

Not at all — Dine About is open to everyone, and May is an ideal time for out-of-town visitors to experience Park City’s restaurant scene. Dining rooms are quieter than peak season, shoulder-season rental rates are lower, and the combination of Dine About pricing with a spring vacation makes for one of the best-value trips Park City offers all year.

Can Dine About menus be combined with other discounts?

No — Dine About offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. The prix-fixe price is the price.

What is prix-fixe dining?

Prix-fixe (pronounced “pree-fix”) is French for “fixed price.” It means the restaurant offers a set menu — a specific number of courses at a single price per person — rather than letting you order freely from the full menu. At Dine About, that means choosing from a curated selection of dishes within your chosen format: two courses at lunch, three at dinner, or a cocktail-and-bites pairing for après. You still have choices within the menu, but the structure and price are fixed in advance.

Is Dine About prix-fixe only, or can I order off the regular menu?

Dine About is a prix-fixe promotion — participating restaurants create a special fixed menu separate from their regular offerings, and the Dine About price applies only to that menu. However, restaurants do not close their regular menus during Dine About. If you’d prefer to order à la carte at standard prices, that option is almost certainly available. The Dine About prix-fixe is the promotional overlay, not a restaurant-wide restriction. That said, the fixed menus are specifically designed to showcase the kitchen’s best — so most diners find they’re getting the right experience at a better price.

Do all Park City restaurants participate in Dine About?

No — Dine About is limited to member restaurants of the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) who choose to participate each year. The spring 2026 edition includes more than 30 restaurants, which is a strong turnout — especially for the first-ever spring edition — but well short of Park City’s full restaurant count. If your favorite spot isn’t on the list, it may not be a PCARA member, or it may have opted out this particular year. Check the full participant list at parkcityrestaurants.com/dine-about/spring before finalizing your plans.

Where can I find the full Dine About restaurant list?

The complete and current list of participating restaurants — including individual menus, dates, and reservation links — is at parkcityrestaurants.com/dine-about/spring. ASRL recommends booking your lodging alongside your restaurant reservations — May fills faster than most people expect once word gets out about the deals. Call us at 888-575-2775 and we’ll help you find the right property close to the restaurants on your list.
