20th Anniversary • ~20 Restaurants

Historic Main Street, Park City, Utah

Questions? Call 888-575-2775

One Saturday each June, Historic Main Street closes to traffic and transforms into Utah’s largest outdoor dinner party. White tablecloths stretch for blocks. Wine glasses catch the last alpenglow over the Wasatch Mountains. Nearly 1,600 guests pull up a chair at tables hosted by Park City’s most celebrated restaurants — and the mountain air smells like wood fire and possibility.

This is Savor the Summit. In 2026, it celebrates its 20th anniversary — and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet. We’ve been managing vacation rentals steps from Historic Main Street since 1999, and we’ve watched this event grow from a small restaurant association idea into one of the most anticipated evenings in the Mountain West. Here’s everything you need to plan your visit.

🏥 What Is Savor the Summit?

Savor the Summit is Park City’s annual outdoor dinner party, organized by the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA). Every summer, Historic Main Street closes to vehicles for one night, and Park City’s top restaurants set up individual dining sections along the street — each with its own custom tablescape, menu, and atmosphere. Guests reserve directly with the restaurant of their choice and dine al fresco as the sun sets over the Wasatch Mountains.

The event began in 2006 as a creative solution to help restaurants generate revenue during the summer shoulder season. Twenty years later, it sells out within days of reservations opening, attracts nearly 1,600 diners, and draws roughly 20 participating restaurants each year. This June marks the 20th anniversary — a genuine milestone for one of Utah’s most beloved culinary traditions.

One thing worth knowing: the format evolved after COVID. Rather than one single continuous table running the entire length of Main Street, each restaurant now hosts its own beautifully designed section. Chefs go all-out on the experience — think 80-foot connected pergolas, live herb garden centerpieces, wood-fired cooking stations, and tablescapes that are as photogenic as the food itself. The communal spirit is very much alive; the layout just gives each restaurant room to make it their own.

“Savor the Summit is a unique occasion to gather at one communal table to share a meal in support of our local restaurants. The community’s enthusiasm for this annual tradition fills historic Main Street with a palpable energy, and we can’t wait to feel that special summer-in-the-mountains vibe together.”

— Ginger Wicks, Executive Director, Park City Area Restaurant Association

🎫 How to Get a Seat at Savor the Summit

No Tickets — Here’s How It Actually Works

This is the question we hear most often, so let’s answer it clearly: there is no central Savor the Summit ticket to purchase. Instead, you make a reservation directly with the participating restaurant of your choice. That reservation is your admission to the event. Each restaurant manages its own bookings, sets its own menu and pricing, and hosts its own section of Main Street.

To browse participating restaurants and book, visit parkcityrestaurants.com/savor-the-summit. Individual restaurants also accept reservations through OpenTable, Tock, Resy, and direct phone calls depending on the venue.

When Do Reservations Open? ⏰

Reservations typically open in late spring — usually April or May. Popular restaurants like Firewood and Riverhorse on Main sell out within days, sometimes hours, of reservations going live. Here’s how to be ready:

  • 🔓 Follow PCARA on social media and check their website starting in April for the reservation opening announcement
  • 📋 Identify your top two or three restaurant choices before reservations open
  • ⚡ Be ready to book immediately when the window opens — don’t wait
  • 📞 Have backup options prepared in case your first choice fills

What If Everything Is Sold Out?

Don’t worry — you can still have a great evening. The High West Spirit Garden (details below) is free to enter with no reservation required. You can also walk Main Street and take in the tablescapes and atmosphere from the sidewalk, dine at non-participating Main Street restaurants that remain open, or enjoy a casual evening at Top of Main Brewery, which often participates with a more relaxed, lower price-point experience. The energy on Main Street that night is remarkable even if you’re not seated at a restaurant table.
